Supergirl - the show just keeps getting better, if it's available on catch-up or whatever please watch it! It's the sort of thing anybody could watch.

I've seen the first three - are you saying it improves on those or is that the prevailing quality?

It's gotten better with every episode.

Netflix Brings In Psychological Thriller 'Gypsy' for 2017 — Latino-Review.com
http://www.latino-review.com/news/netfl ... y-for-2017

That description just reminds me of those ridiculous female cop/agent shows where all they do is sleep with the suspects, or at the very least are presented as total slappers. The sort that usually only last one series, funnily enough.

I'm surprised they haven't tried to reboot it tbh, tough call or not.

The recent BBC drama about the making of it was interesting - they managed to match the original cast far better than the film has. Toby Jones may be a good actor, but he doesn’t convince me that he’s Mainwaring in the trailer.

Edit: Toby Jones has the dubious honour of linking Dad’s Army and Dune. In the film Dune, his father (Freddie Jones) played Thufir Hawat. In some bizarre way, we now have a link from Dune to Star Wars via Dad’s Army.

Coo (didn't watch the trailer)l. But I hate that outfit. The sooner it's changed the better. There's just nothing intimidating about it, and this is a character who started out in a bandanna FFS.

The Walking Dead: Frank Darabont talks "crisis level problems," lawsuit, budget cuts | Den of Geek
http://www.denofgeek.com/tv/the-walking ... udget-cuts

I watched them all at once at that point so I can't remember how or if it affected the show. The one I do know is that Darabont has always just said whatever he felt to be the truth on this matter and film-related ones. And that's going back to the 90s. Their defence at the bottom, 'we've paid you millions', ain't that great in terms of what's alleged!

How dare you, if you're at the Guardian and want to stand any chance of getting off at the Xmas party that's what it is...

I can only guess how utterly soul destroying The Guardian's christmas party is.

I vaguely remember ITV showing it, back when they bought all sorts from the States and showed it later at night (Equalizer, Highlander, Millennium).

I'm a bit cooler on Netflix than I used to be, but I like what I'm reading there.
