1. Any chance of a Vendor Forum. I used to like the one on the old CPC website. Good for recomendations and more importantly problems.
2. I hate bloody Overclockers!
I ordered a GTX275 which was showing as in stock the day I ordered it. I put the wrong delivery date on the order though (it was due to be delivered on Wednesday and I wanted Thursday). As it was passed 6pm I had to wait until the next morning to phone. I called as soon as and the delivery date was changed without a problem. Happy so far. Then that evening I checked the status of my order and the product was showing out of stock. I figured as I'd ordered mine the day before it wont matter. Mine has already been reserved from stock surely? Well I phoned today to make sure delivery is still scheduled for tomorrow and am told there was an error in stock numbers. What? I told them the day before when I called to change the delivery date no one mentioned any problem with so called stock numbers. It seems blatantly obvious to me that they hadnt reserved a card for me and simply pull the stock off the shelves to be packaged as and when. As my delivery day is not until tomorrow they wouldnt pull mine off the shelf until today but quess what, they've sold out. Ok so I dont know that for a fact but I just knew they'd be a problem when a day later the thing is 'out of stock.' I explained what I thought about the whole situation and the guy on the phone went off to the warehouse to see what he could do. Now it appears I'm lucky as he found one - the last one - and will have it delivered tomorrow. Hmmmmmm. Not sure what to think yet to be honest. I'm half expecting the one they send me to be an RMA'd one or something. We'll see.
Rant over
Personally I've tried Scan, Aria, Dabs, eBuyer and Overclockers in the past. To date Dabs has been the best in terms of service. Scan and Overclockers I've now had nightmares with (although Ive used Overclockers a lot in the past but actually visited the shop). Dont you just sometimes think its a minefield buying online?

The problem is you can find somebody that has a bad experience with each of the suppliers and the same can be said for good experiences.
Personally never had an issue with Scan, CCL, Dabs or Novatech.

Can I be the first to disagree. The only reason is that the Vendor forums in the old place had the might of Dennis Publishing behind them, (which I'm guessing could be used for good occasionally) where as, with the best will in the world, we're pretty much a group of geeks who like hanging out and helping each other out from time to time No offence meant to anyone <-- ME!

Yeah - no one wants a “layers at dawn” scenario because of a libellous comment posted here.

The last order I placed with OCuK was for my 24" which recently broke, was easy enough to just get a replacement invoice from OCuK and send to Hyundai myself instead of going through OCuK Scan have been fine Novatech for me are the best, simply beccause I can order online (with Quidco) and drive up to them on my break at work to collect it an hour or 2 later )
