Snap. In all fairness, at least in the UK, the Anglican Church is probably at the more inclusive and tolerant end of the spectrum compared to other Christian denominations.

They’ve been making noises about closing more rural churches, and using them only for seasonal celebrations such as Easter, Christmas and, err, well, Easter and Christmas. The rest of the time, the more devout can travel to a larger worship centre and make it look fuller than it normally would.

That's probably the only time of year they are used. Religion is dying

So, the local church is no longer the moral backbone of the small, rural, community? Shocker. Yes, religion is dying - we have oil as a better excuse to impose ourselves upon other nations.

|I heard an interview on the radio about this. They used to record the statistics for a whole month in Autumn, which was coincidentally when many schools and churches had harvest festival services which a lot of schoolchildren went to, even if they never set foot in a church the rest of the year. This year they changed the mechanism and those 'special events' don't count any more - thus the massive apparent drop in numbers.
