Oh, when you're done there, we've got a Tory government that is pure evil and has already cut off funding to the opposition, the sick and the poor, those at flood risk... this is when they aren't enabling the entire country to be spied upon and deliberately selling vital services to their friends. The Tories already have plans to make boundary changes that will funnily enough affect Labour badly. They've labelled the opposition leader a terrorist sympathiser, a threat to your country and your children's safety. They literally don't care that people are dying and killing themselves as a result of their policies. They are actively engaging in low scale social cleansing on tenancy, actual housing, removal and suppression of rights. I could go on, but this is all in the space of a few years. And a lot of it is directly from the PM himself. So yeah, I'm not finding it difficult to wonder just what sort of monster the voters have released if this is what we're looking at in such a short period of time.

The current Boundary changes are needed. They range in size from (population)21K to over 100K voters. They need to all be roughly the same size
While any party will try and re-draw them to get maximum benifit (and Labour has done the same) at least if they are of similar size it makes it a bit harder
Also with more power going to the Scottish / Welsh / Irish "Parliaments" there needs to be a reduction in the number of MP's

I take any politician calling another politician names with a pinch of salt and is akin to Playground name calling

As for the other points, that is your "spin" on them but in the end they only just won an election so enough people agree with them

In four years time at the next election they can be voted out, and we can then unilaterally disarm, reduce the armed forces to a pure defence force, tax businesses and high earning people so much they leave, make it better off for people not to work by increasing benefits to unsustainable levels etc etc (my spin)

There's boundary changes and then there's ensuring you'll almost inevitably be in power, especially when you're cutting the funding to the opposition, changing the rules on union support, and bringing in legislation by the back door that the opposition can't even debate never mind question at the time.

With regards to devolved parliaments the Tories have historically and only just recently relied on Ulster Unionists of every shade to pass votes. We'll see how that goes now he's cut their funding too. And lets not forget the pledges to Scotland.

This is a bit more than name calling - it's full-on slander. And to my knowledge unprecedented.

My spin or not, my point was that's why I'm worried about how evil they'll get in the future. It's not a term I use lightly, not from where I grew up, but IMO they've gone WAY beyond just being the 'nasty party' in a very short space of time. The above gerrymandering will make it almost impossible to stop them going even further. That's what worries me.

The problem is that if you go down the "Same population size / constituency" its very hard to ague that its unfair. It may not be Geographically idea (with bits of one county being "moved" into another). Yes you can draw the border to include this bit of a town rather than that bit and so hopefully get more of your voters into a swing seat but the actual boundaries are (in theory) drawn up by an independent body
