On the Daily Mail site today, there's an article about how your kids have embarrassed you. Some wag has posted the following:

Quote:
My son once asked me in front of friends why do you read the Daily Mail. I was so ashamed we moved to another town and had my son put up for adoption.

Got to love The Guardian. They have a piece entitled 'You don’t abuse your GP. So why do it to your MP?' but they block comments on it....

Aside from the facts that a) GPS get abused all the time (sadly) and b) MPs probably don't get abused any more than any other public servant and definitely less than say paramedics or policemen.

They really are the most atrocious figures - I've seen Chinese fakes that are a better rep. Plus it looks like a bad UVF mural

Wentworth golf club members revolt against China-based owner | Sport | The Guardian
http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/j ... ased-owner

Quote:
the new owners mooted a number of changes. They proposed to reduce the number of members from 4,000 to 800 and those invited to rejoin the club would be charged a one-off payment of £100,000 while annual fees would rise from £8,000 to £16,000.

Quote:
Lawyers also argue that the proposed “exclusive membership” could be in breach of Chinese law. Campaigners have claimed that such practices are forbidden in China. The Chinese Communist party banned its 88 million members from joining golf clubs in October last year.
