I was looking at the McD's thread and started thinking about how often we eat chips or Fench fries.
To be honest, not very often. My wife will get a craving for "Pommes" sometimes and we will either bung a bag of oven chips in the oven or we'll buy a portion of "Pommes Rot-Weiß" (Chips red and white - ketchup and mayo). But that isn't very often.
How often do you eat chips or French fries (I'm talking about both real chip-shop chips and the reconstituted pap from burger bars etc.)

Where do oven chips fit into this? We have them twice a month. The last time I went to a chippy was in October when we visited Bournemouth. The last time I had fries was last week though before that was around Xmas time.

Tend to have chippy chips on a Friday, with the odd box of microwave fries throughout the week.

Very rarely. I tend not to cook them at home so it would only be if I was eating out somewhere generally which itself doesn't happen that often. It's not that I don't like them either, it's just not something we eat at home.

Probably once or twice a week in the canteen at work. There's normally 2 choices of potato but one is always chips (which they generally manage to cook quite well) and it's sometimes the best choice given the greasy abominations they seem good at coming up with as the second choice on occasion.

This, if I don't have lunch with me or time to go out on my lunch break then chips (and sometimes baked beans!) are quite often the only vegan friendly option in the canteen! I wouldn't often eat them outside of that unless I really want chippy chips.

Occasionally. If we’re on Mersea island, we’ll go to one of the chippies there and indulge (though one does a really nice selection of shish kebabs and salad, so that‘s an option). Other times, it depends if we’re eating out and what’s on offer. I had some fries on Saturday with lunch over the weekend, but that’s not a regular happening.

Being in France, French fries are pretty common. You can also get them cooked in duck fat, which is amazing.
Don't tend to eat them at home much though, it's only if we're eating out. Oven chips are utterly woeful though.

I do like chippy chips, but my shirts are getting tighter around the waist area, so chips are now a no go area. As is everything else that I like

Indeed, oven chips usually aren't worth the trouble.
The only time I eat chips is when I get proper takeaway fish & chips.

Oven chips or home made chips count as well.

4/5 times a week. Sometimes oven chips, often a sneaky visit to the chippy when my wife sends me to the shops
