"Top Gear, brought to you by Radio 2'. Do they really think these are the people to maintain the show's audience?

He trademarked that name before the deal was signed with Amazon - no guarantees there, but it would be chuckle-worthy.

Jeremy Clarkson sticks it to the BBC in Amazon Fire TV ad | Media | The Guardian
http://www.theguardian.com/media/mediam ... d-top-gear

That feels... a little desperate.

What's desperate about Amazon wanting him to work for his 9 figure payday?

Imagine how much coverage that ad is getting.

I mean the ad itself feels a little desperate, somehow. Especially since we've had months of people saying Clarkson would be doing Amazon deliveries and having to get plugs in where he could.

Never mind. He may be travelling to Argentina soon for a bit of a stay.

I'd take bets against it. I can't imagine the UK government would be particularly bothered about enforcing an extradition request from Argentina, he can afford very good lawyers and the case against him is not anything like concrete.

Of course they're almost certainly not actually going to try and extradite him anyway. Like pretty much everything else the current Argentinian government does, it's nonsense and bluster for their domestic audience.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. 'You're a disgrace!' shouted the WWE, that sort of thing.

Matt Le Blanc to be co-presenter on Top Gear...

Wasn't expecting that!
Think I'll reserve judgement.
