It's still only going to get shown on BBC America, so I'm not entirely sure it will have that big an effect on the viewing figures to have a US 'name' on it. At the least, I'd want to know how much he's being paid before I decided it was good idea.

I'm sure it can survive as long as things are scheduled correctly.

The real face of the Stig. My father raced against him back in the 60s.

Top Gear 'timebomb': Bob Mortimer warns BBC over 'talent' | Media | The Guardian http://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/m ... buse-powerEr, Bob might be a bit too close to that one lol. I can't help wondering if the show's just gonna be flooded with celebs and 'almost' guest hosts.

So they’re keeping what I always found was the dullest part of the Clarkson era show then.

The actual driving bits of SIARPC weren't too bad, it was just the interviews that were largely incredibly tedious.

There were a few enjoyable interviews - Hugh Grant, James Blunt and Michael McIntyre spring to mind - but they were mostly a bit dull.

I'll give it a go and, if it's rubbish, I'll stop. I won't be measuring it against the old Top Gear, because they can't make it like the old Top Gear. I'll give it a fair shot to see if it can stand on it's own. I don't and won't actually care one way or another until it airs.
