A ticket to Deadpool - best film I've seen in ages.
A ticket to Triple 9 - should have been one of the best films in ages, but they made it too long. Everything else about the film is outstanding.
An AvP figure set - I finally got one that wasn't broken after 10 attempts.
A Predator figure - it's yellowed with age FFS.
A Lego Technic monster truck - discontinued, and I got it for half it's current asking price so I'm hanging on to it for a while.

A Zenit EM camera. My first SLR camera was one of these. It's made out of solid Russia so it weighs a ton. The shutter seemed a little sticky, but that was down to not being used. It fires properly now. There was a small problem with the lens, but a quick intervention with a screwdriver fixed that. £10 in Oxfam. I put some film in it, so we'll see how it goes.

Yup. The A/M switch underneath was the thing that wasn’t working. Basically, it keeps the aperture diaphragm wide open, which helps with focussing. When you push the shutter down a bit, the diaphragm closes to the f-stop. It wasn’t opening wide in A mode. However, the removal of the back of the lens and a little light jiggling of a pivoting lever (and the screw holding it in placed being slackened off just a hair) got it working again. Pressing the shutter trips an over-ride lever that closes the diaphragm. It’s a real Heath-Robinson arrangement of levers and cams to get all of that to work. It working or not shouldn’t impact on the lens doing its job, but it made focussing in low light levels tricky. So fixing it was a good thing to do.

It is funny, I probably took better pictures with that, than I did with my EOS500 (especially sport shots)... That said, I've taken a lot of great pictures with the EOS550D as well.

I've got an ancient Helios-44. It's an m39 mount with 13 aperture blades so it's rare. I really like the images it produces though once you get past its limitations. It also has a preset aperture ring on the front which I like.

Best thing(s) I've bought:
8.5w Heat Mat Water Bowl Large Egg Trays
Now I just need decent sized plastic box and I can start breeding a colony of Dubia Roaches!
I think my wife hates me.

Circa 1984 Casio PB-700 Personal Computer, complete with FA-10 Printer/plotter/micro Cassette dock. I remember being awestruck as a kid, when I first saw one, so I had to grab it. The previous owner was a real power user too - check out all that RAM:

I always wanted one of those, but could never afford one. Then it was the Epson HX20 and the Trash-100.
I even earlier, I wanted a Trash-80, or a PET but they were, again, too expensive. I ended up with a ZX81, followed by a VIC=20.
My old Memotech MTX500 is still in a shop window in Stadthagen, near Hannover.
