http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35858101IDS resigning was a bit of a surprise, given that he’s been wilfully involved in cutting benefits and applying harsh penalties on those on benefits who can’t jump through the necessary hoops. To all of a sudden to say that they go too far, that the Tories are somehow ideologically driven in their so called austerity programme, and to resign over a such a matter of principle does make me wonder what his true motives are. I don’t think that his stated reasons are genuine.
