One of today's most popular typefaces owes its inspiration to radical work done for the signage on British transport a century ago. Johnston Sans changed everything.

One of my favourite typefaces. Probably the only thing I enjoy when I use public transport in London.

Ooooh thanks for that, I like typeface nerdiness. There was a nice exhibit at London transport museum on tube map too.

Interesting he worked with Gill of Gill Sans fame.
Although it looks like Yewtree would be after him if he hadn't died in 1940. :shock:
