Windows 7 is available to pre-order on Amazon.co.uk (£45 for Home Premium) and Play.com (£49.99 for Home Premium, £99.99 for Professional).

No pricing details for Professional on Amazon yet, nor is there any pricing information on the other editions (yet).

I've pre-ordered a copy of Home Premium, though I may ditch the order if these fabled "family packs" appear.

Hmm..more "meh" than you can shake a stick at. I'll stick with Vista. If the family packs appear outside of the USA there will be much hat-eating to be done.

If I could spare the £100 for Professional I would probably order it. But since I built a new PC with Vista last month, I can't see the need at the moment as it is running perfectly.

I pre-ordered the Professional version early this morning from Amazon - cost £89.97 which was cheaper than my Win XP Pro was :)

First allocation ran out at Amazon about midday yesterday. Back available again on Amazon this PM but now priced £74.97 for Home & £179.97 for Pro. Still a 50% saving for Home but only 18% for Pro.
