I agree - if I needed an organ transplant - then if they could take a stem cell from me, make a new "X" that has my genetic code and then implant it and it would not ahve / reduce the rejection issues I would be all for it

Interesting conundrum if you're a vegetarian.

The main concern is that the human cells might migrate to the developing pig's brain and make it, in some way, more human

This bit made me lol. Not sure why. Also wonder whether it'd have the same effect in humans and make them more porcine in nature?

They won't go quietly, and the vegans will be happy to remind you of their life choices too.

Well at least it will be an example of "natural selection". As Vegans and Vegetarians wont take the organs so they will die more frequently and so the movement will die out
- although I am not a cannibal but I will take a human organ - I guess if I tell the vegan that I will eat the rest of the pig but they can have the heart then maybe they will take it

It could become the new "thing" - Hog roast and Organ transplant party

Never underestimate the power of cognitive dissonance.
It certainly holds true for animal rights activists who'll campaign aggressively against animal testing for medicines but are also willing to take those same medicines if they need to.
