Gene Yashere, possibly the most unfunny person I have ever seen on TV. I have seen John Major on TV, just to give some level of comparison there.

Yeah, she's never made me laugh either - her humour almost seems forced

As far as I can tell from her appearances on MtW, it's basically "Not if he / she were black".

I think I probably find 1% of comedy acts to be truly funny, about 40% are amusing, 40% crap and 20% down right awful. I don't think the percentage varies significantly between the sexes, but there are probably more male comics - especially in stand-up.

Female comedians only seem to have one theme - men & sex. Gets a little boring after a while.

I like Lucy Porter...but mostly because she's kinda cute.

Have to agree, that seems to be the main theme doesn't it?

It certainly makes me less critical. I probably wouldn't like Sarah Silverman at all if she wasn't so hot. It's both intriguing and disappointing that she looks like Snow White but talks like a dirty whore. In fact, she's almost eligible for that other thread...

However, I do like Jo Brand and I don't think she's cute. Dawn French isn't the most obvious love goddess either, although she does have a certain cuteness to her and compared to scowling Jo she's a fluffy little glamour-puss.

Here it is for anyone who's interested. Again it is NSFW.

Plenty of good ones out there, although some bad ones as well. Can't stand Jo Brand though. :?

Try looking on YouTube for Nina Conti and Monk! Very NSFW, but I find her skits with Monkey are hilarious!

The thing that irritates me with Gene Yashere is that her topics are always about races.

Every single joke she says on Mock The Week involves "Black" or "White" somewhere in it. Last week there was a picture of the Wimbledon final with the initials RBWF underneath it. Her suggestion was "Regular bunch of white folk".

Peter.

There is a black comedienne who is a regular on MtW and she usually contributes a lot and I find her funny. I thought that she was Gina Yashere. It seems that the one who was on the first show of the new series was either someone else, or Gina is getting lazy as she only opened her mouth three times and none of it was funny.

So, if Gina isn't the one I've seen before, who is the one that I find funny?? :?

I can't think of a single woman who's any good at stand up, but there are certainly plenty of other excellent female comedians in other genres of comedy.
