My impression is that the mass of labour voters, want a major left wing party in this country, and some old labour dinosaurs are getting upset that their centre right policies have failed to get them re-elected

Looks like the NEC won its appeal over the voting rights of members: Labour leadership: Party wins appeal against voting rulesWay to p!ss of 130000 new members. Mind you, that seemed to be what the PLP was after in the first place. That and a money grab with the £25 supporters fee thing.

Something like that. The labour party membership as a mass seem to like slightly left wing policies but the right wing of the party (which is mainly about 170 MPs and a small minority of the rest of the party) has utterly convinced itself the only way it can get into power is to 'steal' voters from more right wing parties, so the very idea of becoming more left wing seems to them to be political suicide, and the thing to do is to be as much as possible like the Tories without actually saying they are. Like tory voters are somehow going to pick them in a choice between 'tory' and 'almost tory'. That's worked so well the last two elections...

Indeed. Given the choice most people will go for the real deal instead of the pale imitation. The problem is the PLP don't seem to be willing to accept that the wind seems to have changed somewhat. A lot of people are fed up with the widening inequality gap and feeling like they're just along for the ride with someone else in control.
What bugs me in particular is the Tory charge that Labour can't be trusted with the economy because, well, just look at this mess... caused by effectively buying into the Tory way of running things. This should be a golden opportunity to destroy the credibility of the Tories on financial management, a core plank of their platform, and it's not been taken.

It does have a whiff of the bizarre about it, yes. Although one could argue it's an indictment of how far to the right the party has drifted in the last few decades.

Jess Phillips installs panic room in officeWould it be sexist to describe her as an utter drama queen? This is, by the way, the woman who when accused of stabbing Jeremy Corbyn in the back replied "Back? I'd happily stab him in the front!" So basically an utter drama queen and a massive hypocrite.

She does seem ready to jump on any cause even vaguely related to women. You're not wrong. But still, you know, public bad, private good. Loved the tweet quoted at the end.

http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-37146729It's true, though who knows how things might have gone if the PLP weren't such a load of bitches and given him a chance to lead. He was putting out fires from the get-go and they just wanna be Tories without the cynical nous.

Some of the criticism is indeed fair although it's hard to engage with the electorate when the press are more interested in: The Tories internal warfare Your own side constantly trying to undermine you
The saying "just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you" springs to mind.
I wonder how successful Kahns election campaign would have been under similar circumstances to those Corbyn faces with the PLP.

Game Of Thrones? There's nobody in this game that has half the nous of Tywin Lannister or Olenna Tyrell. This is more keystone cops.
'I resign!' "Err... OK... who are you again?' 'I'm being threatened!' "So am I!' "So am I, and so is my wife!' 'I'm the same as him, but competent!' (proceeds to fall backwards out of window)
[LIFTED] me, there genuinely is not one of them I'd trust to run a sweet shop, let alone the country.
