I'm coming to the conclusion that I am totally rubbish at estimating how much ... stuff I need to do decorating.
So, I need to buy a third tin of paint and today I managed to run out of silicone sealant two thirds of the way round the bath an hour before the shops opened
It looks a bit crap and I think I'll need to redo it - starting with two lots this time. :x

Clearly the recent FF update was a roaring success, as they've immediately had another one...

I'm sure someone did a 'what people are willing to go to' graph, but there's already been way too many instances of the black group member being left out when it comes to Ghostbusters.

I was hoping to go and watch silly old Mechanic 2 at the cinema, but even Statham-loving Den of Geek say it's awful.

You know it's a bad Hollywood summer when even films expected to be bad surpass expectations!

I know it's all about the apps but I find it hard to believe that the only way to resize an image in iOS is to email it to yourself so you can pick a different (preset) image resolution.
Am I missing something? Even Lightroom doesn't appear to be able to resize (rather than crop) an image.

Never understood that, even my 2011 phone's built-in gallery has a cropping and saving option.

Cropping is fine. I meant changing the resolution like dropping from 4K to FHD or similar. I was trying to upload photos and the file size limit was 2Mb but the images from my phone were coming in around 5Mb so I needed to reduce the resolution a bit to fit in the file size limit.

Ah, I see.

The UKTVPlay app, on FireTV at least.
Took two gos for it to get to the end of the ads (before the program even started) and then it dumped me back at the home screen. When it did get through the ads it just froze before the program started.
First one star review I've ever posted on Amazon (and if they let you give zero I would have)

On the plus side, as it was something on Dave I wanted to watch I doubt I'll have to wait for it to be repeated on the actual telly but the app is pure [LIFTED].

About a month ago, swmbo had to do an application form for a course. It was sent in PDF and in my earnest to help, I used a PDF editor to fill it in so it could be emailed. There was a personal statement section which we filled in. Saved it. Looked great. Emailed it.

Turns out the personal statement section was empty. She got called and told by her boss that it was blank. After a stressful morning surgery plus visits, I rushed home to try and sort it but couldn't. In the end, swmbo had to fill it out by hand. Neither Foxit nor NitroPDF worked - they happily filled in other sections but the statement box was either in 14-point font and too large to enter everything in or the text was hidden behind the blank box and I couldn't sort it out.

So much for technology. Should have just filled it out by hand and scanned it in.
