If I sit on the floor for even five minutes my legs seize up! Trains in England really are a fcuking disgrace.

You're not wrong. But still, you know, public bad, private good.

Loved the tweet quoted at the end.

*sigh* It's turned into a massive Corbyn vs Anti-Corbyn bunfight and the essential point - that Britain's train network is a massive ongoing failure in both performance and customer service terms - has of course almost totally been lost.

Which I imagine Virgin trains can't be that unhappy about.

Plus I'm not sure why Branson feels the need to pitch in personally, he actually has nothing at all to do with Virgin trains, He sold the 'brand' to someone else ages ages ago.

It is a bit odd but I suspect that while he may have sold off the brand he knows people still associate anything with a Virgin label on it with him so anyone attacking a Virgin brand is like an attack on him.
Mind you, you would have thought that given their experience with the West Coast mainline they'd be used to people, including politicians, saying their trains were crap by now.

I suspect the TOCs would prefer for Labour in general and Corbyn in particular not to get into power as re-nationalisation is one of the areas both leadership candidates appear to agree on (whether you believe Smith would stick with it if he won is another question of course).

My first thought when I saw the images. And the pixellation in some of the shots is useless!

You should complain to your MP about that and demand to be put on the list :D
No sign of my voting slip yet.

Just because he didn't topple Hillary doesn't necessarily mean the methods his campaign used were bad ones.
Lets face it, if Corbyn relies on traditional media platforms to get his message out he's definitely doomed so why not go for a different and broader approach.
I know it's the Wholly Grail of campaigning but if he can get enough people who don't normally vote off their backsides come the next election the result may not go the way everyone expects it to. Corbyn, like Sanders, has a lot of support from younger people so going after them via social media etc isn't a terrible idea provided it actually motives them to go out and vote.
