Theresa May will trigger Brexit negotiations without Commons vote http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/08 ... mmons-vot/Any legal challenge to that move would come from outside the main parties I reckon, lest they be toxic to half their voters.

Hasn't it already been established that there's a lot of legal trouble with going that route as it requires the repeal of an Act which the PM cannot do on her own?

Given the statements coming out from this Brexit meeting at Chequers today, it's quite clear nobody has a [LIFTED] clue what Brexit should actually be. Not that that shouldn't have been settled before the referendum or anything.

I wonder if Boris was pushing for that £350 million a week to go to the NHS.

I'm almost certain he wasn't because he wasn't daft enough to believe it himself in the first place.

Nissan, Sony and others will be looking to see where the best value place to do their business is, and they may be thinking inside the EU. So their entire supply chain in the UK will fall apart, affecting many other businesses. Side note - the Raspberry Pis are made by Sony in their Welsh factory.

They are still trying to figure out how to legally decouple themselves from the EU, starting, no doubt, with the legislation form 1975 that allowed us to join. Not only that, but devolved powers to Scotland relies on EU law, not UK law, so that needs working out. We also have that tricky issue of having not enough trade negotiators of the calibre needed to negotiate trade deals with the larger power blocs of the world. I really am not surprised that there is nothing to talk about yet - it’s a massive task, and they are probably still trying to recruit people with the skills to negotiate.

A rather well written piece here on the sheer logistical nightmare that trade negotiations are going to be if Article 50 actually gets triggered: http://internationalbanker.com/finance/ ... gotiators/
