The piece I read suggested that the Ecuadorian ambassador thinks Clinton should be the next US president so may have a bit narked at Wikileaks latest disclosure of democratic party e-mails.
Whether that's tinfoil hat thinking I don't really know. I've never particularly got the impression Assange is terribly pleasant person to be around so it's entirely possible they want the spare room back at the embassy.

Aye, Equador has said the 'net access restriction was imposed because of the US election Wikileaks reveals, and not from pressure from the US.
