Melitta "Look" filter coffee machine.

Makes a very nice cup of coffee. The "intensity" dial does make a marked difference in the taste.

Does it go up to '11'? I think I might need that.

It goes up to 15!

Most filter machines only make 10 cups, this one makes 15. That means that we get 4 large mugs out of this, with the previous one, we only got a half full mug for the second round (my wife and I).

This. It’s 21 DVDs of Laurel and Hardy movies, which was in CEX, so cost £22. I’m in need of cheering up at the moment, and this was pretty much an impulse buy.

There’s about 70 hours of material in that collection. I don’t binge watch, so I’m currently on disc 2, and it’s marvellously hilarious.

Would love to have that. Wouldn't have time to watch it though.

I bought that years ago from asda for £10, you got ripped off a bit, still I find it extremely amusing and enjoyable compared to modern unfunny watered down politically correct crap of todays world.

Bought a ticket to Jack Reacher 2 - perfectly solid, more coherent than the first, not a bad word against it.

How do they make Tom look like he is 2M tall?

The same way they did in the first film - using oompa-loompas.

They don't try to make him look tall so much as make everyone else look roughly the same height! There's a hilarious scene with the world's shortest army dude and Tom walking - they look like kids who've found the dressing up box.

Someone at work told me his friend went for a Tom Cruise casting. Unfortunately he wasn't told it was Tom until he got there. Being 6.5" he knew he wouldn't stand a chance.

Needless to say he didn't get the part

First pay pack so I've just bought a 3 course meal with a cocktail at the Riverside Brasserie in Bray.

I've been wanting to go there for ages! I'm a big fan of the Roux restaurants and this is supposed to be one the best in the country. Plus it's only 30 minutes from my boyfriend's house.

Hopefully we'll be going next weekend :D

If anyone is interested there's a 50% off deal on lastminute.com

3 course meal and champagne cocktail

Our Asda is a long way from where I live - right on the other side of town - so we never go there.

The Alien stuff is great - haven't watched the DVD or read the book yet. Glow in the dark Swampy there won't even stand

I'll post a pic of the glow in the dark alien eggs if I remember...
