Are you aware of the phrase 'cutting off your nose to spite your face?' Putting us all in a situation which on balance of probabilities will be worse than what we had when we were in the EU just to get rid of the EU doesn't seem all that great an idea on the whole. If we could get rid of the EU and know we'd be somewhere better fair enough, but I don't see any real evidence that's likely to happen for the majority.

There was a nice tweet, referenced by Jeff Jarvis on This Week in Google this week.

He was at a conference in Germany last week and told the Germans that they had to stop looking at the US as a role model and they will have to take the lead for the next 4 years, setting an example.

Somebody tweeted, oh, I get it. In World War III, Germany gets to save the rest of the world from fascism. That's a pretty solid third act.

the EU in its current form is not going to survive but a free trade area and a free trade area only just like the EEC would work but the EU will not work and should RIP ...

Brexit keeps me awake at night, says Theresa May | Politics | The Guardian

I'm deeply suspicious of any man who understands a woman's needs when it comes to accessories and flowers... he's up to something.

That 'hard border' issue between Ireland and Northern Ireland just won't go away.
I've read any number of pieces written stating that the EU can't/won't/shouldn't re-impose a hard border policy between the two countries, but it's never really been about the EU doing that, it was always going to come from the UK.
If it happens it'll be the isolationist that'll cause the border reinstatement, not the EU, I think this is just posturing.

Always nice to have a plan for the consequences before you do something drastic.

I love it when a plan comes together.

You know, we've never seen Boris and Hannibal Smith in a room at the same time, have we?

No, no we haven't. I would point out however than Hannibal's plans generally worked and any mad hair he had was normally part of a disguise rather than being in charge of the whole operation.

To the extent that Boy George was in an episode and things still worked out.

Don't you know that at least one of the judges is in favour of a good, hard Brexit, for he must be, as a player of the pink oboe...
