I'm currently using Cyberlink Power DVD 8, I don't have much choice if I want to watch Blu-ray stuff on my PC. However, whenever I have Bit Torrent software open (or earlier during the "session" on my PC) Power DVD REFUSES to play my discs! I get an "disc in drive x is in an unsupported format" [LIFTED]. This is not on. I use Bit Torrent perfectly legitimately to transfer home movies to other PCs up country and to download Linux distributions. Thus I can only conclude that Cyberlink are a bunch of [LIFTED] who have some gripe against P2P technology. I am writing a strongly worded letter. </rant> Is there an alternative to Cyberlink's [LIFTED] software?

I didn't spot the 'home' before the 'movies'. Doh! Good luck with it anyway, I'm no help at all here.

Arcsoft do great bluray software which actually integrates with media centre. I tried cyberlink but it refused to work as my Onkyo amp is technically a repeater

Don't know if this is what sas meant, but here's a link to the Arcsoft e-store: http://www.arcsoft.com/estore/Hope this helps, John.

The site's down atm but that's where I got mine, the product is called arcsoft total media theatre. Best money I spent on my htpc. bluray & hddvd load up fast & I don't need to leave media centre. HDCP at its best.

Why? Is Bit torrent exclusively for illegal distribution of material now? I don't see why software that I have purchased should penalise me for using a perfectly legitimate method of conveniently transferring large amounts of data.

Not by the people who understand what is going on, but unfortunately it is the clueless who make the decisions - ISP's mainly!
