I wonder how that happened. Useless proof reading. 1988 was what I meant.

I saw them in concert at Wembley Stadium in 1986, they were part of the backing for Queen's Kind of Magic tour.
Opening was The Alarm, followed by INXS, Status Quo and then Queen.
Fantastic event.

Jesus, that's the sort of gig I'd want a time machine for.

It was my first ever gig, everything else has paled in comparison.
2nd best was the Blues Brothers' Band in Brighton.

Back in 1986 I would have found it hard to imagine a more horrible gig. Looking at it with a bit more maturity in 2017, I wouldn't have minded seeing Queen or Quo back in the mid 70s when they were still young and exciting and probably playing more intimate-sized venues.

Quo was excellent and Queen were incredible. Freddy had such a NB amazing presence and he was a real showman. The air was electric, when he was on stage. Inxs were good, but not brilliant. The Alarm was not really audible, each band was a little louder than the one before. When Quo came on stage and started playing, all you could here was 75000 people shooting "turn it up!"
