It's flopped at the box office, and even people who were hyped for it on Twitter and who enjoyed it have said it's way too long. Must ask my mate, he saw it last night. The critics have generally adored it, but the average punter doesn't seem that fussed from what I can tell.

It has underperformed according to expectations at the US box office. There, I fixed that for you. Also, so what?!? The original film failed at the box office too. *shrug* Mark

It's flopped by any realistic metric and I only said that in response. A film flopping doesn't affect me watching it. A girl in work loved it, but then I think she'd lose her marriage over Harrison Ford, so*... My mate forgot he had tickets for it and it wasn't like he was rushed off his feet lol. * Probably non-pc to say it, but I've had far too many women tell me a film was good because they fancied the lead. Right up to, 'You've never watched a sci-fi film in your life, but you REALLY enjoyed AvP? Oh, wait, there's a twinkle there...'

A little bit more on the developing story that Quentin Tarantino is lining up to direct a Star Trek film. Mark

If Quentin Tarantino does do a Star Trek film, Patrick Stewart is interested in returning to Trek for it. Mark

I struggled to get on with Lego Batman and gave up after about 45 mins.

Something, something, something, SoloApparently there's a full trailer later today. I'll probably miss the release of it due to sleeping through the day, but I'm sure I'll catch it at some point. Mark

Went to see Journey's End on Saturday.
Daughter liked it. In fairness I'm not a big fan of dark gritty dramas, but ymmv.

Ever wonder why Jennifer Lawrence always gets beefy, Oscar worthy parts?
It seems she regularly hooks up with Weinstein... funny how she's been so quiet throughout the whole scandal

It appears that Danny Boyle is no longer attached as director of the next James Bond film.
