Not all the Focii have 5 speed boxes, the 2.0TDCi has a 6 speed (hence the comment about 2.0tdci 6speed or 1.6tdci 5 speed), same on the Mondeos, some of them have the 6 but newer/higher spec models

All models come with a five-speed gearbox except the 2.0 TDCi, which is a six-speeder.

The Mondeo came fitted with a five-speed manual gearbox as standard when launched (a six-speed versions became an option later), but newer cars will have a six-speed 'box as standard.

Was looking at a ghia for the higher spec sony multichanger but the seats look old-man-ish
I wouldn't get a TDDi, I'm used to 50+mpg on mainly motorway driving like I will be using it for

Saspro: what size is the tank?

No idea, approx 50 litres based on it taking just over £50 to fill it.

Eeek.

I just went outside to change the oil in my Minibike (This is one) and after I did so, I fired it up.

It sounded bad yesterday, but changing the oil has made it sound like 2 marbles rattling around in a biscuit tin. :/

I mean the Mail specialises in bad photos these days, but I don't think those ones went through much of a selection process :o

I actually learnt to drive in a Ford Focus and it definitely had a 6-speed gear box. I remember trying to cruise the car at 20 MPH in sixth gear, but the Focus didn't like it.

Peter.

The road is on there, hell of a fun drive also (drove it on the way back from my Jeep test drive day a couple of years ago, lovely windy road)

Was it a diesel, though?

Very probably. The 6sp. gearbox goes with the 130PS TDCi, along with a 5 sp. auto box. No 5 sp. manual option with that engine.
