Not really. Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. After all, there's an awful lot of artificially created EMR floating about the place and it was bound to cause somebody a problem at some point.

Without a gold standard double blind experiment to provide repeatable results then its a from me. Bad reporting or anecdotal "evidence" is no replacement for cold hard facts.

No no, where's the proof for the bit I quoted if nothing else... 2% of the world, the UK? I've Googled it and can't find anything that relates to that figure that would 'stand up', never mind increase the 'problem' Not to mention it's a really short story where the Daily Mail are quoting The Sun

Fair play. All I'm saying, is it makes logical sense that all the radiation floating about might have some kind of adverse affect on some people. But I'm not a scientist

IIRC, big_D's old neighbours didn't sleep well if he left the wifi on over night. This is the second story I can think of in about the same number of years. There may, or may not, be something behind it, I suppose. I'd expect the number of cases to be rising. It'll be the next big 'allergy' after wheat and milk.

My old neighbours used to suffer as well. They would get disturbed sleep patterns when I left my router's wireless on over night.
I got them to keep a diary and randomly left the wireless on over a two week period. Without telling them, which days (and their Mac in the lounge couldn't detect my wi-fi signal. The nights it was on, they had poor sleep patterns.
Their daughter was similarly affected when I had a DECT base station over her room (I 2nd had the top floor flat, they had ground and 1st floor).
Some people really are sensitive to electrosmog. It is one of the reasons I only turn the Wi-Fi on when I need it.

as stated earlier more research on possible interaction is needed and not decisions based on either anecdotal or the precautionary pricipal so beloved by some members in the EU.

From my experience, some people are sensitive.
With the DECT 'phone, my neighbours simply asked if I had anything electrical in the room over their daughter's bedroom. I moved it, the daughter slept better, even though the parents didn't tell her anything.
Likewise, with the wi-fi signal, the wife didn't know when I had it turned on, yet comparing notes afterwards, disturbed nights coincided with the nights the wifi was left on...
In these cases, the effects were mild and she couldn't tell whether the wifi was on or not, but it was enough to disturb her sleep.
Likewise, I don't tend to sleep as soundly if the DECT phone or my mobile are on the bedside table. It doesn't make me ill, but it does stop me from sleeping soundly.
Why is it so hard to believe that some people may be susceptible to electrosmog? Some people have allergies to nuts, does that mean nuts a poisonous to all of us? No, but some people need to avoid them. Electrosmog seems to fall into the same category.
Not everybody is susceptible or reacts violently, bt it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist...

I'm with Dave. We are, after all, electrobiological entities. Why shouldn't even low power radio waves interfere with our systems?

I think the term "alergic" is the one that gets most people's backs up.
I do believe that some people are sensitive to it, like my ex-neighbours. Whether it is actually harmful is open to debate.

My wife and I don't sleep well when the wifi is on, so we switch it off at night. There might not be any scientific evidence for it, but it is fact.
