Hello all,

I didn't know where to put this, so I'll start my third new Meeting Place thread this week :D

Basically, I'm feeling really anxious at the moment, but I have no idea why. I don't have anything major to worry about whatsoever at the moment, so I don't know why I feel like this.

For example, I was set the challenge of raising around £500.00 for my Dad's surprise birthday event. I keep worrying like hell about raising this money, even though I have raised nearly £1000.00 towards it. I need to buy some champagne tomorrow for his birthday, and I have checked several times now that I have the money in the bank account even though it's less than £20.00 and I will have cash on me if the worst happens. My Mum is obviously thrilled with the fundraising, so there is no need to worry about anything.

Last night, I literally didn't sleep a wink. I was watching television from 22:00 until 02:00, PM'ing Alexgadgetman about the iPod sale from 02:00 until 04:00 and watching stupid YouTube videos from 04:00 until this morning. That's not something I would usually do, but I don't even feel tired from staying up 36 hours so far without any sleep or rest.

Any ideas?

Peter.

Depends on underlying problems.

Are you normally someone who messes up and therefore is anxious not to ball things up?
Are you really anxious or is this depression?

I've found Rescue Remedy to be of great benefit when anxiety sets upon me, usually around exam times.

I'm just a laid back guy, really. I don't have any underlying issues or a history of depression, so I've no idea why I'm suffering from this.

Thanks,

Peter.

You don't just sleep to become less tired, you also sleep to relieve tension and stress. It usually all springs from poor diet/metabolism and not enough exercise. Get a good night's rest then tomorrow go and hunt something (gym) and then kill it (nice grilled steak), i betchya feel better.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there! I have had a very lazy week, so I have suffered from poor diet and metabolism. As a result, I have this tension building up inside, which makes me feel anxious.

I love you, kind sir.

Peter.

I bet you wish you'd not sold that excersize bike on Ebay now, dontcha? :D

It's working from home what has probably caused it. Think about it. You get up later than you usually do because you don't have to drive about, and go to bed when you want because you're at home. :D

Although I've not been able to sleep very well this week either. I've been falling to sleep at about 4am-ish, and waking up around 10-11am. But I don't feel tired! :/

I blame Swine Flu.

I wish it was due to that! I lost that job unfortunately because I'm useless at flogging overpriced towels to unsuspecting elderly ladies. I do still have two jobs on the go, so I am busy most of the time.

Peter.

I blame you Alex. How dare you stop me sleeping by paying me money ;)

Wait, that didn't quite sound right. In case you were wondering, nothing is going on between myself and my good friend Alex. Honest.

Peter.

Imagine using that sales script on the elderly ladies.

"These mother f*****g towels will absorb every drop of f*****g water from your p**s wet body. You'd have to be a f*****g r****d not to buy these f*****g amazing towels for only 300 f*****g pounds! Just give me your f*****g credit card number, you old piece of s**t."

Peter.
