now that i have 7 running so well i have a couple of spare machines xp etc as i cant run my data recovery progs ,just wondered
what everyone else use's or think's is good . ;)

handy recovery. Works well for flash drives/memory cards.

I have Tech Tools Pro, I have never used the data recovery part of it though. I am not even sure what circumstances I would use it under. :?

I can't remember the last time I used any, which is a good thing! :)

For backup though it's Time Machine onto a mirrored raid store.

TimeMachine is pretty good.

More generally, SpinRite from grc.com and Acronis tools.

so is spinrite working for you I cant seem to get anything back ,Rstudio and get data back seem to find more ,but then again I find some hdd work with some progs and others with others . :x
