Google suggests there are such things Twitter viruses, which presumably behave much like this one - encouraging a click out from Twitter to somewhere else.
There have been a couple of high profile sufferers, Guy Kawasaki for one - Clicky.

I still can't see the point in Twitter. So much fuss over so little.

Bizarre. Thanks Big D for alerting me.

So what is the outcome? I mainly use twitter on iphone but log in on mac or PC at work. Work PC is scanned daily and no virus alerts.
