I ordered a few DVDs about a month ago, the money was taken from my account, but I've still yet to see them... I had the exact same problem at Christmas, two months of waiting, still nothing, asked for a refund and I didn't get that for a month!
Does anyone else have such poor service from them? I know people who have their goods the next day, so why not me?

I think only once or twice, I've had problems with 'missing' packages. Each time I contacted them and was sent a replacement out fairly quickly. Never needed to ask for a refund.

Ditto, I've ordered various bits and pieces from them and never had any trouble. Only minor hiccup was getting sent two copies of a CD (and charged) but as it was £2 and made a decent birthday present for someone I didn't really have cause for complaint.

I've only ever ordered music or DVDs from them and never had any issue, we're quite far off the beaten track and occasionally it takes longer than the 3 days for stuff to arrive but rarely, and mostly I can expect it within 2 days.

We've probably ordered hundreds of pounds worth of games, DVDs, CDs and other items throughout the years and I don't think that we've had a single problem.

I've ordered tons from them but only ever had problems when I ordered a digital download and it wouldn't download. They offered a refund though which should be on it's way to my account now.... all of about £2.30

Horror - They've taken money from my account and said that a printer had been sent to me... only to retract that statement and say there was an error with their computers and that the printer was not, in fact, in stock. They refunded me and gave me a 10% discount on the printer when it was back in stock for the 3 month delay.
Success - I ordered a 16GB memory card from them at approximately 7pm on a friday night, expecting it to arrive monday. It arrived at 8am saturday morning. That's less than half a day to get to me! Absolutely chuffed with that.

I've a funny feeling they're sub-contracting sales out these days... But phoning them generally sorts things out I've found. There definitely has been a drop in overall 'quality of service' though

Never had a problem ordering from Play.com - I know my local postman, so I know he doesn't thieve my stuff.
Different story from Amazon - they've sent two things out to me via HDNL before who both times claimed they had delivered the item when they hadn't, thankfully Amazon gave me the benefit of the doubt.

I bought a 16GB USB stick back in November and it took a week to get to me, which I thought was OK. I'm pretty sure it's not Royal Mail, as everything else (Amazon, ebay, Lovefilm, et al) comes through very swiftly. I tried to phone up towards the end of January to ask where my order was, but after 20 minutes on hold I decided to email them, I couldn't afford hang around when I was calling from my mobile...
