Hi guys, 1st of all id like to say hello to all the other fellow X custom pc forumites, i was on there for 2 yrs as garrynicol69 gradually building up my knowledge.

Bragging Time :) - i built my 1st pc last october with help from some of you! my current specs are as follows ;
Zalman GT 1000 case
E8600 @ 4ghz
4gb Reaper @ 1066mhz
1TB F1
Zotac gtx280

I currently have a spare Coolermaster Dominator Windowed version case and was thinking about building the cheapest possible pc into it with tech maybe 2-3yrs old purely for my little brother staying over on tuesday nights so we can play 3 games.....Counter Strike Source, Titan Quest & eventually Diablo 3.

As i know nothing about tech 2-3 yrs old i would love for you guys to help me with this challenge, i was thinking about buying a decent but old mobo and cpu. ram,hd and cd drive are pennies on ebay anway and getting a decent psu, im struggling to find any motherboards that i know and i dont want to buy anything else until i have the mobo and cpu decided.

If anyone here has built geiserics BBBB and has the mobo and cpu from that for sale then i would definetly snap those up depending on price, i know £100 is asking a lot but that wont be including the operating system, case, graphics card or psu.
Im looking and asking for your help to scour ebay or your old drawers/cupboards and help me find a decent mobo, ram , cpu , hd and dvd drive for as close to £100 as possible........

I may have an old socket 775 pentium 4 3.2ghz cpu if i can find it i ll update this post, hopefully someone here has one of the original parts from the BBBB for sale, namely the gigabyte g31??? mobo.....

Welcome to the forums.

So you're looking for a motherboard, cpu, RAM & a HDD. That's workable. You could almost get new stuff for that.

hey sas mate, had advice from you before regarding folding :)

yeah basically i need everything, i have a spare ati hd 2400 that will do him for css and tq and i ll worry about a better card for D3 when it finally is out!

and as i said i "HAD" a sk 775 p4 3.2ghz cpu if i can find it so any sk 775 mobo with pci express and ddr2 slots would do....... was hoping to get older stuff littlary for as cheap as possible...... as it will only be used for 3-4 hrs on tuesday nights.

sounds gd mate, the hd2400 i have will do fine for now ( 17" moniter ) and we both use dirext x 8.1, lowest res, lowest setting configs for css anyway 300pfs FTW! titan quest runs fine on it too and by the time diablo prob gets released he ll have my psu and gtx280 ,

let me know once you ve settled on what stuiff your selling and for what price, cheers, Garry

Just sorting out the parts now.
Should hopefully have a choice of 2 setups for you.
Just checking psu's etc

dunno if this would aslo interest you but if your selling me a "full pc" i can send you my coolermaster dominator case in return for your case and im sure it would make a perfect folding farm case for you, with 2 roof fans, 2 front intake, a side fan and a rear exhaust fan it runs amazingly cool........just a thought :)
