Well, had an interesting evening!
Wanted to check on my MobileMe account and change my credit card number (finally got a German card)... But I couldn't access the Account page - the rest of me.com was working fine.
Ended up logging a support chat call to Apple and I talked to Rebecca M. Very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. First class treatment, I give Apple that, their support is good - first time I've needed support in 22 years of Mac use.
We tried clearing the cache and cookies, but that didn't help. I tried Firefox and that worked fine, so it looks like it was a problem with Safari. We went and did a complete reset of Safari, but it didn't remove the cookies, even though cookies was ticked! Opening me.com after resetting Safari went straight to my mail page!
In the end, we agreed I needed to do a full reset, including closing all windows - which dropped the support conversation...
That didn't work, so I quit Safari and rebooted - not sure if the reboot was necessary - and the account page worked fine after that. So it looks like something in Safari isn't doing the reset properly, not sure if it is holding cookies open or what, but something was screwy.
Anyway, alls well that ends well. I can thoroughly recommend their support line.
Mind you, I can't comment on the quality of support lines, the last time I had a support call was in 1995 when I bought my Gateway 2000 P90 machine!

Is the support chat in iChat?? Or is it an applet on the website??
Or something completely different? lol

It is a JavaScript based chat client in the browser, hence losing the chat when I had to restart Safari.

Hmm...
I just installed a software update last night that fixed an issue with some people not being able to access mobilemw.com or something.
Have you made sure everything is up to date?

The problem seems to be something to do with the new version of Safari that came down the pipes last night, when I got home. It installed, re-booted and then MobileMe's account page stopped working.
