If you're there when they arrive with the machine, ask nicely and maybe chuck a couple of quid their way, I'm sure the delivery guys wouldn't mind going a few extra feet.

I have just given them a ring and they will be here at 07:15 tomorrow morning! I'll get up early and pop the kettle on for them, in the hope that a nice brew will give them that energy to do it.

Knowing cutbacks nowadays, there'll probably won't even be two men, and I'll be expected to help. I don't mind breaking my back if he'll help me over the doorstep with it ;)

Cheers,

Peter.

Spent half an hour paddling in the sea this afternoon on company time. I love my job.

You're an optimist assuming they will actually turn up on time :p

I received a cheque today, but am I right in assuming it's useless since it's not signed? :(

Apologies about the poor quality image, but I don't have my scanner with me at the moment. I've obviously blanked out the confidential information on it.

Peter.

Last day as a full time Microsoft employee tomorrow.
Shame to do it but I want some a few extra weeks off before I go back to university

Past 14 months have gone so quickly

I can't believe it! The lorry pulled outside the house at 07:12 this morning and he just carried the washing machine single-handedly into position.

I nearly did my back in moving the machine an inch ;)

Peter.
