I am not here all the time and I missed the incident that upset you. If you really are off then I am genuinely sorry to see you go. I like you.

p.s. I hope you will make it Au revoir rather than good-bye.

Well, this is my first visit today and this is the first thread I've read.
Something must have happened today, I shall go and have a look.
If nothing has happened, and it's just the 'religeon' thread that has got you all worked up then I think that's pretty pathetic. A couple of people not agreeing with you and then all this dramatics? I hope that's not the case.

If that’s the case, I’m surprised. I thought she was made of sterner stuff. A shame. We need the feisty females here.

We have a religion thread? Where? I wonder how I missed that? I love a spot of religion I do.

It's over in the "In the news" forum. It looks like it is just that thread which has caused Bish to strop off. No doubt it's compounded by other issues in her life, but meh ... so be it.

Erm, the religion thread is totally inoccuous, what seems to have happened is, by some freakish accident, some people have had differing views to other people and some sort of 'discussion' seems to have broken out. Some people need to develop a tougher skin and accept some responsibility of their own lives rather than being passive aggressive and deflecting any and all criticism away from them, creating a sort of 'forever the victim' scenario - alright when it's you versus mummy but wholly inadequate when it's You v. The World.

I agree with leeds.
Bish - educate, don't run. Reasoned discussion on what's obviously a passionate issue for you is the way forward and don't take things personally. Walk away and you lose.

I absolutely agree. Nobody was being offensive or rude, but Bish couldn't handle what was simply a discussion. I wouldn't have even said it was an argument, even though she tried to escalate it.

Innocuous maybe, but if her fiancé is a Moslem, then it’s likely that she could be choosing to convert before marriage. I’m not sure if this is a strict requirement in this situation, but a choice may have been made. We could just be seeing the standard issue “I’m offended” reaction we see from various converted types. Gav’s observations thus being proven.

Hi.
Assumptions. That's all people make is assumptions.
It's why forumites are the way they are, because alot of people don't actually want to ask what is wrong, but would rather assume what it wrong. Thus making arguments, or "disscussions" into something which is taken onto a whole diffrent plane.
I'm not going for good. I just need to vent. Someone people on here, and I don't even need to say who they are, because I'm pretty sure that they know it themselves, are two faced.
Personally I don't get on with people to well if they are pretending to be something they aren't. And yes, Paul you're right, I am thinking about converting to Islam before marriage. I've been to Iraq, I've seen with my own eyes what the people are like, how the communities are, and how people treat other people. Alot bloody better than over here. and I can't belive how much people actually belive what they see on the news and read in newspapers. It's totally beyond me!
But anyway. I'm not going to be posting alot here anymore.
I'll only post if I find something interesting, and I have a view on it.
For now, Au revior x

I always find it amusing that people have to post to say that they aren't going to visit anymore. Why not just leave and then come back if you feel like it?
