Well I don't know, both have been discussed on this forum before and I have no clue about either TBH, including what they're called.

Just watched the Lucky Star OVA and Kagami popped up in that outift. Then i suddenly had a brain wave and realised she was suppposed to be Tohsaka Rin from Fate/Stay Night ! However that then means she's probably not related to the girl from the desktop picture .

We watched "Laputa: Castle in the sky" at the weekend and really enjoyed it, not as random or silly as others of the Ghibli genre, but a stonking good tale. Looking forward to our next step down the Anime Trail

I'm lucky enough to own the original English dub rather than the Disney re-dub. Much better voices in my opinion. I think that's my favourite Ghibli film to date. I remember watching it on TV in the late 80's.

I've just watched ep. 8 There are a couple more to catch up on, so no spoilers if anyone is ahead of me please! I think Hitler eloquently expresses my feelings so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiSg02Ll20s

I was at a friends house last weekend and he was watching this. I've just started on ep. 1 and sofar, I have to say it's probably the best thing I've failed to watch all season! I expect I'll finish it by the end of the week, so a slightly fuller review to come. Saw the last episode of Saki last night. I'm very much hoping for more of this. It's a bizarre mix, and I'm dying to make an AMV from the crazy fight scenes if only I can think of a good tune. I loved the "holding hands walking into the sunset" ending. Wonderfully gay There's a new season about to start, and I've still barely scraped the last one. Some of them seem to have stalled, and I'm still trying to work out if Haruhi ended or not. It's... confusing ION, the uncensored DVDs of Rosario are out

Oops, i haven't replied to this thread for a while! I was on holiday when the last replies were posted so never realised it had been updated until now . The Hitler/Haruhi thing was hilarious and spot on, i've seen it done with various other themes but that's one i'd probably relate to lol. Still haven't caught the last two episodes of Saki yet , moved back up to the uni apartment and have just been playing on my 360 since i've been without it all summer. Probably should start catching up, i left a few anime's mid-season (Clannad After Story, Bamboo Blade, Fate/Stay Night). What's got a new season about to start? Or do you mean the new season of anime? Fall/Winter? And Haruhi is technically finished. All the new episodes that comprise of Season 2 have been aired and all that's left are the remaining episodes of Season 1. It's just that they broadcast it in chronological order and Season 2 episodes fit in between Season 1 ones. + Haven't those DVDs been out for a while now? I know [Chihiro] released a few of the uncensored episodes but don't remember how many. Personally i'm just waiting for [m.3.3w] to finish subbing the last episode of Season 2. I mean i've seen the last ep. via Chihiro's sub but i prefer the look and quality from [m.3.3.w]. God knows how long they'd take for the DVDs.

Let us know what you thought of Saki. It's pretty special in my mind, and I wish I had more holiday so I could do something creative. I like to think there has to be another series Clannad ... I can't talk about it if you haven't seen it all yet. Suffice to say, it's worth finishing! New seasons; yeah - I meant generally. Everything is finishing and we have new stuff coming up. I'm so far behind, I'm still starting stuff that's already over :s Haruhi was... a bit of a let down. I wouldn't un-watch it, but I kinda wish I'd reaslised what I was in for. There's a few other bits of this I've not seen, like the web stuff. I'm not nuts about it, but I'm sufficiently hooked that I won't be happy until I've seen every last show. To be honest, the ending was so hmm I can't even remember it. Maybe I should re-watch them all in order. I just watched the end of Spice and Wolf II. Now that was nice, and if there's not a III I'm going to kill someone I watched S&W2 in 720P with lovingly produced subs and loads of translation notes. If only there was some way to actually buy that; but I just know the DVDs are going to suck

I still haven't got round to finishing the series, Uni just started so i've got to juggle the new term around anime and i often find that once i fall behind on an anime i'm less inclined to pick it up again... although i'll try to do so at some point when i have free time. I finished it yesterday! It's definitely a very good anime, i'd rank it quite highly on my favourites as something to definitely watch. I was a little disappointed with the last episode though (of the series, not the extra one). It just seemed a bit of a cop out without things being explained very well. Ultimately the ending was probably what was to be expected and hoped for, it's just how they got there that was a bit off. If you liked Clannad JJ (which i see my your ratings on MyAnimeList that you did), i'd really recommend "Ef - A Tale of Memories" and it's sequel "A Tale of Melodies". I'd personally put it the former at the top of my list of anime and the latter is also high although maybe around Clannad quality or just below? They're in the same vein of Clannad offering very good art direction, soundtrack and character/plot development and would really recommend them. I've started a few shows of the new season. First off is "Nyan Koi!" which is just a rather light hearted comedy and you can watch without taking it seriously or "be in the mood" for it i'd say. Next up is "To Aru Kagaku no Railgun" which is a side story in parallel with "To Aru Majutsu no Index" but focuses on Misaka and Judgement, it appears to be rather good and was probably my most anticipated show this season. If the latter wasn't airing then the second season of "Darker than Black" would have been most anticipated since the first season was very good in terms of originality and action. I agree, it wasn't that the second was necessarily bad, just that i don't think they quite lived up to the "originality" of the first season. Endless Eight was just.... annoying. Also JJ, they've announced the movie of "The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi" which i think is supposed to be a very good/interesting arc.

This was on my list, and I watched the second episode last night. I'm not sure what I was expecting exactly. Suffice to say I had not read the manga, and wasn't expecting such a sadomasochistic Yuri loli-fest. There has been no real character development of Misaka, and Mikoto is even more annoying than ever. However, it's quite impossible not to be drawn into her obsessions and share her delicious pain. Suffice to say, I will not be dropping this sideshow, peepshow, stereo hero, Becalm bestill, bewitched... (Random Marillion lyrics)
