I never really was able to speak to him much outside of the old place. I had his MSN, but neither of us use it too much. Weasel's on facebook, so occasionally see how he's doing, but haven't sent him a message for a while. Maybe I will when I get home.

He's here occasionally, not been on for a while though...

Depends what you want I guess. I don't really get much value out of stuff I don't understand unless it's funny. He posted it over on the Silli Plaice as well and I didn't get it there either.

Been running around like a blue arsed fly today sorting out problems to find the following email on my PC

"It is likely for the short to medium term that we will be unable to employ an additional support person to help with the workload which as I understand is currently quite heavy. Given this, I would like to have a meeting to discuss ideas we have to reduce our workload and still provide the same level of service to our customers"

this has been sent after these emails

"From now on please can you use CRM both for logging support calls as you already do but whenever you have a conversation that wouldn’t necessarily be classed as a support issue then this is logged in CRM against the customer notes with a time/date stamp so that over time we build up a picture of what is going on with the customer not just support calls. This is obviously the sort of thing that a sales account manager would do, but we do both at Tiva. The Technical Account Managers should be using CRM as an account managing tool and not just for logging support issues."

"Hi, Please find attached a copy of a new process that must be completed for each customer by the Technical Account Manager each month starting 1st September. You should have all the information you need in the document but otherwise please ask. "


So I've now got to log every phone call that comes in & out, Fill in a poxy form every month for every customer about how we're doing. Do all their proactive visits, Still do the helpdesk, generate income from customers by selling stuff (and chasing customers & suppliers) whilst still finding a way to reduce the amount of work we're doing on support.
