Another executive decides to have a publicity grabbing $1 salary, whilst thier compensation package is in the millions or higher. Wooptydoo.
It means nothing except for some PR

I learned the other day there is a very good reason people like him get paid in options not salaries. It's called paying much less tax on the income from selling the options. And I mean a lot less; IIRC 28% rather than 33%. There are executives, including Steve Jobs, who are paid $1 in salary per year purely for this reason.
