Right, well, on Thursday, I'll finally be able to afford to buy my new GPU. But, here's the little dilemma, I'm not sure what I want, I currently have a dead 4870 with a water-block sat on it, I was going to get another 4870, but tbh, I'm a little annoyed with ATi, I couldn't get on with the CCC, and I could never seem to get the performance I had been expecting. So, here's the question I put to you wonderful *ahem* people Another 4870; OR; A GTX260 and new water-block. I'm really not sure, I wouldn't mind going back to the old Green Team, I had the 8800GT and it was brilliant. Plus, all this fancy CUDA stuff sounds good, even if I don't know what it does. So, fire away guys, what do you reckon?

4x 9600GTs in Quad SLI. No, I think selling everything (even the broken one as spares or repairs on Ebay) and adding your money to would leave you enough money for something like a GTX280 with a water block.

If there's any way you can wait - do. With 7 on the horizon, I would expect there to be new hardware winging it's way to market for the Autumn. If not, with prices the way they are, just replace it. You may have had snags, but can you really be bothered to get a new water block as well?

You can't quad sli 9600GT's. 260's are great value at the moment, especially if you shop around as they're around the £100 mark.

He's not got me folding my new GTX275. Think a hint was dropped somewhere though.

But Nvidia even have proper Linux drivers, unlike ATi who couldn't write a driver for anything.

ATI drivers have always been terrible in my (limited) experience - but I guess that's what you get with slightly cheaper cards

SCAN LinkeyI should be able to afford this card, have to pay the phone bill as well though, although I should be able to scrounge the extra money needed... What do you guys think?

If you can afford it and want it go for it. Of course two minutes after its inside your system it will be 50% cheaper and the replacement for it will have been released.
