OK, this is for the South-West region meet-up, though all would be welcome.

Let's start suggesting some venues? I'm thinking Bristol, because it's very easy to get to, or possibly somewhere in zummerzet, perhaps Taunton or Bath?

What would be convenient for everyone else? Also, what sort of date should we aim for? I'm determined to get to this one. :)

I would have thought Bath was the most central for the South West.

Pain in the ass to drive round though.

If you're talking "central" then East Devon/West Somerset fits the bill, namely Exeter or Taunton, possibly even Weston-super-Sludge. North-east Somerset is hardly central when you factor in those two counties called Cornwall and Devon.

The "west country" makes your case even weaker! Cornwall and Devon are firmly in the Westcountry, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire have dodgy cases at best.

Boy you've got a bad attitude.

I've always considered the west country to be from yeovil upto gloucester but I'm probably wrong, as I often am.

Was just trying to engage in this thread, didn't realise I was going to be picked up on my lack of geographical knowledge.

:D Bath is a 15 minute drive for me :D

I'm sure between a few of us locals we can come up with some good pubs.

Exeter is also a good option, and is particularly good for getting to by train...
