I especially like this bit:

Quote:
So first the 8800GT can't fit in either the PCI or the PCI-E slot because it's obscured by other menial pieces, and also because putting it in the PCI slot would involve putting it in backwards (wtf, I know)

It had never occurred to me that anyone would try to turn round a graphics card to see if it would fit in backwards. Where would the cables go?

Very, very funny.
I quite liked the 'your loopy/clapping' smiley as well. It's in entry 30/31.

I have actually had to resort to using the
Quote:
smashing them together like a chimpanzee with rocks.

method with my graphics card, but that was more to do with the case (£11.99 of sheer quality) than the PCI-E slot, and I was very careful (ish)

 indeed.

Couldn't you just alter the case?

I did... with a hammer and screwdriver, expanding the gap to get the VGA socket through the slot in the back plate  To get the damn thing in you have to take the motherboard out, plug the card into the slot (I DO know which one ;) )and then try and wedge the thing downwards as well as sideways. It wont go sideways unless you've got one bit of metal in the downward slot, and vice versa :x ...so I used the force....

Next time, something made by Coolermaster at least 8-)

Done. Although I had to edit your version as it was too long...

I have learned not to underestimate power of stupidity but always something comes up that pushes limits even further...

Made me laugh a fair bit, pretty fake though, look at the link to the mobo on newegg he linked to, it's a blue Gigabyte board, then look at the colour of the board in the pics.. :/

Oh well, gave me a fair old chuckle :)
