Typical blokes. Tried reading the manual?

Most set-top boxes and tellies offer the chance to make sets of your favourite channels. That way you can lose all the Bid-Up TV, Telly Tots, Totty Telly and Channel Five and just keep the sensible ones like BBC4, More4 and Dave.

Heather, you've suggested getting rid off all the best channels!

Have you seen the menu system on an LG phone never mind their TVs?

And the favourites thing is a nonsense in that regard anyway, as all it does is slow down it's ability to change channel as you wait for the menu to p1ss off :(

What about learning the channel numbers? Dave was 19. BBC4 9, More4 14, FilmFour 15.

Easy.

Gawd knows what they'll be when I get home.

:D

I don't watch them often enough to remember (can't even get Dave!), and that's what makes the whole process annoying when I try to :(

I will re-tune when I get home. I am hoping I don't lose ITV3 as that is showing Life and I am really enjoying that show.

The manual for my Freeview recorder does not bear any resemblance to the box itself given all the software upgrades it's had over the years.

This is weird!
I just retuned my freeview. Now I can only get sound if I watch it though the video (which I usually do anyway).

No she hasn't. Get rid of all the rubbish channels and all the +1 channels, then broadcast the good ones in HD.

How do you decide which are the best channels?

I agree with getting rid of the +1 channels.

I keep them because there are some channels where I've missed something and wanna catch up.

If you have a decent STB, you should all have the ability to delete channels rather than having to set up a favourite menu.

Is anyone else experiencing ' 'It seems to get slightly better every time I retune it' :?

I can get Dave for the most part now, though there's some really annoying pixelization going on :(

Sooner they turn off all the analog the better, the digital power can then be boosted and we'll get a better signal.

Yes the signal I get is appalling so fortunately I have the Freeview service on cable so am not affected though I would like a decent service so I can plug my elgatos eye TV back in to my macs.
