Who'd 'ave thunk it?

All this media fuss about tuning in you wouldn't think that there were a massive earth quake, ever persistent social problems at home and abroad along with an economic crisis, But I gues they'll all still be there when they make sure they've still got all thier veiwers.

Yeah, well, there's only so much time I can give to the rest of the world. It doesn't give much time to me. All I can do usually is just cope with my own sh*t, and there's precious little I can do about earthquakes on the other side of the planet.

By the way, I'd prefer it if our inglorious leaders didn't automatically throw our finite resources at such places. I think it's better spent trying to sort out our problems first. If folk want to be charitable, let them, but not with my taxes thankyouverymuch.

Anyway, BOT... retuned four STBs and a TV with no problems. The horrid artefacting FilmFour has been suffering seems to have gone for now, so it seems better.

Ernie, have you checked your aerial?

Two different aerials in the house, both are getting different channels with each retune, and my sis who lives a few streets away has different channels also. That's from a mixture of both STBs and TVs with built-in Freeview :(

Having retuned the STB, is anyone still getting 'retune' messages? FFS, I've already done it!

Apparently, yes, though I've not seen it here personally.

It may be just a follow-up thing to make sure they (a) catch the stragglers and homecoming holidaymakers, and (b) annoy the feck out of everyone else for a bit longer.

I have had the retune message appear on my Freeview recorder but not on the TV's inbuilt Freeview.
