In 1983 I was 1...

However, I would probably have bought a BBC Micro B.

My computers in order (IIRC) were...

Apple Mac 2 (it was my Dad's but I used to play PoP on it all the time! and Frogger!)

Acorn Archimedes A3000 (I had this when I was in primary school so I must have been around 7 when I got it, the games were awesome, Chuck Rock, Boogie Buggy, Interdictor, Some F1 racing game, brilliant!)

PC with Windows 95 (used mostly for playing SimCity 2000 and Sim Tower)

Laptop with Windows ME (Bought for university, it actually worked quite well)

PC Bought at uni and upgraded to death.

PC Bought about 2.5 years ago with Vista, Q2D 2.4GHz CPU, Dual 8800 GPUs, 600GB HDD, 2GB RAM, etc...)

Macbook Pro bou8ght in Japan in October 2007.

Boogie Buggy and Interdictor were good. I remember in Interdictor you could design your own levels. Boogie Buggy did some very clever side ways scrolling stuff - it was very smooth. I think my disc corrupted itself so I couldn’t play it any more.

I remember when I wanted to play Boogie Buggy I had to put in some commands in order to clear up some of the RAM so it would play :D

Ooh! I almost forgot Nemesis (or Nevryon, or whatever). Awesome side scrolling space shooter game!

:EDIT:

The memories are flooding back now!

Also, Inertia and Twin World were very good games.

Duke Nukem 3D on my first PC was also very good :D

I just found the name of my racing game :D

Powerband! :D

It was an F1 game and you could use the mouse to steer the car.

I thought it was really good but these guys seem to differ - CLICKY!

I had a go a while back but I couldn't get them to work.

Plus the roms were quite expensive when I last looked.

Nevryon was f**king hard. Never made it past level 3. It only had 6 levels.

Thankfully, I have a couple of genuine Acorn machines - so I was able to scrape the ROMs off them (probably a naughty thing to do).

Nevryon was very hard.

I remember I got to the level past the Hydra boss (level 3) once... ever.

I remember the password for level 3 was "mirador" but if you used the password to get there then you didn't have enough powerups to get to the end of the level.

It was a very good game though.
