I think that before long, the govt will have to step in and make changes to the laws on libel and reporting. The Simon Singh case, Andrew Marr and the ridiculous limits on even reporting the fact that he asked for a ban on reporting his court case, etc.
Whatever happened to "publish and be damned"? We can't go about witholding things in the public interest on the off-chance that it will have a detrimental effect on someone.

Isn't Parliament on TV these days? And what about Hansard, are they also banned from reporting?

This has been covered in Private Eye at length recently. These so-called "super-injunctions" - where it's technically contempt of court to even mention the existence of the injunction - have come in for much derision. They are blamed on lazy judges granting them late on an evening - the High Court has apparently ruled previously that such injunctions should not be used as they restrict freedom of speech.
EDIT: It involves law firm Carter-Fuck, why am I not surprised?

The solicitors have backed down, the Guardian have printed their story - after the Twitter- and Blogverse spread it around the globe this morning...

Yes I saw that before I even read the story. It was news on Reddit, and leaked on wikileaks as well.
