Full Job Spec? It's currently in progress but here's the mail points. 1st & 2nd line support based in our office in Farnham, providing technical support to our customers (we're an outsourced support company). Basically you'll be managing the alerts from our monitoring system, answering the phone & dealing with usual helpdesk questions. Project work & major problems would be passed up the line. You'd be answering to me & after 6 months or so be promoted to Technical Account Manager where you'll be looking after several customers on a more personal level, doing project work & will probably getting a car.

Is proof reading part of the job specs?

You decided not to go self-employed then?
What level of skills/knowledge do you want?

The self-employed bit is taking longer than I thought, I'm still working on it but a few legal points need sorting with the solicitor (then my job might be available as a promotion). Looking at Server 2k 2k3 & 2k8, SBS 2k3 & 2k8, Exchange, a bit of SQL, Active Directory, VPN's etc Usual network support stuff. MCP's are handy. A driving licence would also be useful
