Hi all,
I've got a question for you.
My iPhone apps are spazzing out. Everytime I press to use one, it flashes on, then straight back to the home screen. On every single app. Apart from the standard apps.
I've restarted the phone about a zillion times, I've also gone into the settings and done a reset of all the settings, but still no Joy.
I called o2 about it, to see if they can help, and they are saying that it's a fault with Apple.
Can anyone shine some light on the situation?
Thanks.

Welcome back Have you tried a full reset of the phone? Hold down the home and on/off switch (when it's on) until it goes off and then comes back on. (Make sure you have backed up onto iTunes before doing this). :EDIT: Oops, hold them both down until it turns off fully (keep holding past the "Slide to power off" screen. Then turn it back on normally. Like I say, it shouldn't delete anything but take a back up anyway.

Thanks and yep,
Done that already.
Done pretty much all I can think of to be perfectly honest.

Morning, welcome back What version of the apple software are you running? I've found that doing a backup then forcing the phone into recovery mode and restoring it solves this issue,

I don't know anything about iPhones, but I wanted to add a big "welcome back!"

At the moment I'm running 3.0.
But after doing some digging I can see there is a new software upgrade 3.1?
Maybe if I can update my software it'll kick this problem out?
Worth a try I guess...

Where did you buy it from? Could you return it under warranty for repair or replacement? CPW do such a thing, but I don't know the specifics on iPhones.

Have you tried restoring it using iTunes?

It's an o2 contract phone, and yes I've also tried restoring it using iTunes.
I'm at the end of my tether. It dosen't bother me so much but because I know it's there, it needs fixing, and I can't fix it.

If you book an appointment at the local apple store they'll usually swap it on the spot. Failing that I find either recovery mode & full restore or an update usually fixes stuff.

Have you tried restoring the device to its factory settings, then doing a restore or a new sync?

My "local" Apple Store is, according to AroundMe, in Cambridge, England... I live in North Germany! Have you tried erasing everything and then reloading all the apps? Oh and welcome back!

Nice to see you back.
Has the phone been unlocked? or Jailbroken? or otherwise modified?
