Noo, he's probably not everyones cup of tea, but he's intelligent and has a really good sense of humour, he's interested in the world around him and those are all things I find much more attractive than physical appearance. This is my problem with the idea of fancying people simply by their looks, more often than not, the really attractive people are either a) conceited 2) vacuous or iii) boring.

For me, relationships are 90% about getting along and spending time with during regular day-to-day life and about 10% about sex/attraction (IME) you'd be far better off finding someone you value as a best friend and let attraction take it's time. I'm never too rich in friends that I couldn't stand to make another one.

I'm not into looks either, though it does help sometimes. When I was 19 I was seeing a 40 year old who was balding, had glasses and a middle aged spread. However he was interesting, entertaining and had so many life stories to tell he saw each other for about a year.

In my 30s I lived with the most beautiful man you could possibly imagine. He looked a bit like Eminem and had the most amazing feline sexy eyes and I was totally smitten yet he was arrogant and violent and a horrible man.

That is how I feel as well, and one of the reasons that my girlfriend is worried I'll run away!!

Her own description is she is short, fat and ugly and there are so many attractive women out there... She can't believe that I find her attractive interesting and don't want anybody else.

Like Caz, I had a skinny, attractive girlfriend when I was in my 30s and she was incredibly abusive - and certifiably crazy; she had borderline personality disorder. That pretty much destroyed my life and it took me a long time to put myself together again. Heck the rebound was crazy in the other direction as well, put me off relationships for half a decade!
