Joy. Hopefully we'll see an actual improvement in the Tube service as it has been shocking the last few days. Usually it is just crap.

4% for tube and more than 12% for buses is ludicrous. Especially when wages are falling for many or certainly incomes are. Normally I would have no problems with rises, but I thought that the subsidy of public transport was to be paid for by the congestion charge? What happened to that then? Maybe the Tories do not want to subsidise the oiks on buses?

You Londoners don't know how good you have it. Even with those price rises, public transport there is much cheaper than most other places in the UK (both cities and out in the sticks).
