Not long ago I could get unlimited texts as a £7.50 bolt-on.
Now I can only get an extra 500 texts for the same price.
What a sodding rip-off.
I was on the 'phone to customer services yesterday to get the unlimited one and they told me the above, I told them "thanks but no thanks" in no uncertain terms.

I've been with o2 ever since I got my first mobile 'phone - 10 years ago. If Vodafone or Orange offers an unlimited texts package for the same price I'm giving o2 now when they start to sell the iPhone then I'm going to move to their service.
O2's just having a laugh.

What need do you have for 750 texts?!?!
Are you one of those people that has to text a joke to everyone in their iphone?

I never text jokes.
I just communicate a lot with people via text messages. Certain posters on this forum can attest to that.
I get 500 inclusive text messages with my current contract, I'm not going to pay £7.50 just to get another 500 bolted on.
I wish I could've afforded the bolt-on a couple of months ago, but I couldn't, now it looks like I'll just have to make do.
Stupid money grabbing o2.

Mark

750 texts, that is avearging neary 1 text an hour over a month, take away sleeping, eating, driving, socialising and working, that is a heck of a lot of texts!

That is why I wanted the unlimited bolt-on.

Do you have one of the 'free, included' bolt-ons? I had the unlimited web one, wanted the unlimited texts, said the same thing as you were told. So I changed my 'included' bolt-on to the unlimited texts, and not pay £7.50 for the Unlimited Web one.

I rarely use texts and can get away with 10 a month. I can see the benefit for some, though I would rather speak to the person than text.

Same here. I find it very annoying to be in a "text conversation" of back and forth, when speaking to them would trasmit the same information much faster. I'm with BT on this one: "It's good to talk" :)
