And I was looking forward to that

'SUPERMAN/BATMAN : PUBLIC ENEMIES 2' in the Works

Quote:
Comics2Film can exclusively report that Warner Premiere is so happy with the performance of the 'Superman/Batman: Public Enemies' home video release that they're looking into the first sequel to come out of their highly-successful direct-to-home animated feature slate.

Details are sketchy for 'Superman/Batman 2' but most likely it'll draw from one of the subsequent story lines from the Jeph Loeb comics series.

If we were running the circus we'd go with the timeline twisting "Absolute Power" or the ultimate Maximus alternate-reality bending "With a Vengeance" (altough that story may be too similar to the 'Crisis on Two Earths' movie that's on the way). Of course, we'd also dig seeing the lighthearted, post-Loeb "L'il League" story brought to animated life.

And if DC Universe is looking for Superman/Batman team-ups, the well certainly goes deeper than the 2003-present series, with team up books going all the way back to the early 1940s.

For the love of God no

Niles Seeking Melissa George for 30 DAYS OF NIGHT Sequel (Spoiler if you haven't seen the first film!)

Quote:
The Comics Continuum chatted with comics creator Steve Niles about the soon-to-lense sequel to the feature film '30 Days of Night'.

"We're about two weeks off of shooting the sequel, 'Dark Days'," Niles told the Continuum in a video interview.

Fans of the comic series know that 'Dark Days' puts Stella Olemaun in the leading role. Having survived the events of the first series (and the movie), Stella joins a global network of vampire hunters. She seeks to destroy the secret society of bloodsuckers both by outing them to the public via her book (also titled "30 Days of Night") and by attacking them directly.

As previously reported, Niles wrote the script for the film with director Ben Ketai, who helmed the previous internet series '30 Days of Night: Blood Trails' for FEARNet.

As far as casting the sequel, Niles said their first priority is their leading lady.

"What we're gonna do first is try to get Melissa [George] back," Niles said. "She's the only survivor of the first movie really, so there weren't that many people to bring back."

If they're going to do a sequel to 30 Days of Night, I hope they get Melissa George back. She is cool :) ;)

I thought even the trailer for that film looked sh1t  , but she's nice :D

In other news:

Are Jude Law and Robert DeNiro aboard THOR? Seems like they are, but as who?

I don't like DeNiro's name being attached to anything these days :(

I thought 30 Days was pretty good for an American vampire movie; there's none of this gothic rubbish attached to vampirism, they are semi-human monsters and the overall plot is a good one along with the snowbound Alaskan locations. It is brutal and bloody and well worth a look.

I'd maybe give it a go if it came on TV, but my tolerance of ads is low :x

I wonder how he will treat the Squadron Leader's dog's name? It would be not PC to state it.

Though to a be a true modern remake the british will have to be shown as evil psychopaths. Deliberatly deciding to try and elimante all those civilians around the dams.
